Looking at the data, a few patterns emerge that speak to the prominence of certain teams, their geographical popularity, and the influence of historical success on fandom. The Los Angeles Lakers, thanks to their rich history and maintained prominence, sit at the top tier, being the most popular team in 19 states, like California, Nevada, and Hawaii among others. Fans from all across the nation, not just the city of Los Angeles, express a deep affection for the team. Key findings from the data include:
